I try to do something new with each project, and learn something from each piece.
Recurring themes in my plays and musicals include absurdist thinking, dark comedy, and a healthy ignorance of the fourth wall. My playwriting style has been referred to as "Historical Surrealism". I must admit, I love exploring theatricality— Some pieces are best suited to the stage.

Mr. Electric
Summary: A play that follows final days of a convicted serial killer before he is executed by the state. He is visited by his only surviving victim, a reporter, and a fan- each with their own motives, and each with something to gain.

They must break the news to their new guest, but that begs a new question: can Samuel check out?

The Marriage Diary
Summary:
A Comedy of Manners that follows young Margrethe after she marries Prince Hughmothy of the Kingdom of Fronklebergmarklandia. With no proper training for her role, Margrethe is forced to rely on her secret weapon: a diary passed to her from her mother, passed to her by her mother (and so on for a few generations,) which outlines how each of her mothers before made their arranged marriages work. The only problem left? Margrethe's new husband wants nothing to do with her.
